A Powerful Partnership for People, Business, and Community: gforce and MEGT
In a major development for the Australian recruitment and employment services sector, gforce has announced it will officially merge with national provider MEGT, effective 1 July 2025. The move follows an initial announcement in October 2024 that the two organisations were exploring a merger.
The partnership brings together two highly respected names in the apprenticeship and employment landscape, aiming to enhance support for employers, jobseekers, and communities across Victoria and beyond.
“This is a significant moment in the history of gforce — not just for our organisation and dedicated staff, but also for our valued clients, candidates, and participants,” said a spokesperson from gforce. “We sincerely thank our community for their continued trust and engagement.”
Despite the merger, gforce has confirmed that day-to-day operations will remain unchanged. Clients can expect to receive the same high level of personalised service from the local gforce team they know and trust.
MEGT, a national leader in the apprenticeship and employment services space, brings scale and expertise to the partnership. The merger is expected to unlock new service offerings, create expanded opportunities for candidates and businesses, and strengthen workforce development efforts in both regional and metropolitan areas.
As part of the merger, gforce will establish a permanent gforce Trust, designed to support employment-related programs and initiatives in the Geelong and Ballarat regions. This community-focused initiative underscores the organisation’s long-standing commitment to regional development and inclusive employment outcomes.
“We are excited about the future,” the gforce statement continued. “This next step strengthens our ability to support employers and empower individuals through meaningful employment opportunities.”
The merger between gforce and MEGT represents not just a consolidation of services, but a shared vision to build stronger, more resilient communities through workforce participation and support.
