In a move that signals a significant step forward for The Justified Talent Group, recruitment leader James Michael has announced that his former boss and long-time mentor, Archie Fraser, has joined the business as a Partner and co-owner. The partnership also ushers in the launch of ‘Echo Three Zero’-a dedicated sales recruitment arm focused on Defence and adjacent sectors.
This strategic alliance is not just a reunion of two high-calibre business leaders but a full-circle moment. Fraser once served as CEO of Adecco ANZ, where Michael reported to him as General Manager for NSW. Since then, their professional paths have spanned multiple industries, leadership roles, and entrepreneurial ventures-all leading back to this point of alignment.
“Archie brings with him an extraordinary breadth of leadership experience,” said Michael. “He’s scaled businesses, led high-performance teams, and built momentum in complex and nuanced environments. His arrival marks a bold next step for both The Justified Talent Group and Echo Three Zero.”
Fraser’s resume speaks volumes. From leading Adecco ANZ to CEO stints at HR and immigration consultancy Hamilton Watts (later acquired by Cendant Corporation), to the St Kilda Football Club and several executive roles across sports, executive search, and medtech ventures—Fraser is a rare breed of commercial leader who pairs operational insight with big-picture vision. Most recently, he has focused on business planning and executive coaching.
At ‘The Justified Talent Group’ Fraser’s remit is clear: growth. Specifically:
– Leading a national licensee expansion strategy;
– Building and mentoring a high-performance network of sales enablement licensees across Australia;
– Strengthening client partnerships in the mid-Enterprise and Tier 2/3 Defence-adjacent sectors;
– Contributing to the long-term strategic direction of the Group.
“Our vision is to deliver exceptional client and candidate outcomes, and provide a pathway for knowledge transfer,” Fraser noted. “James and I have both delivered significant revenue growth across diverse industries. Now, we have the added benefit of joining forces to scale our impact.”
The addition of ‘Echo Three Zero’ is particularly timely. As Australia’s Defence industry continues to evolve and expand—with heightened local manufacturing, supplier engagement, and investment in sovereign capability-the need for specialised, high-performing sales talent is accelerating. Echo Three Zero aims to fill that gap, working with founder-led businesses and Defence-aligned suppliers to source, retain and develop elite sales professionals.
For both Fraser and Michael, the move represents more than a business decision. It’s a fusion of shared history, complementary skillsets, and a mutual belief in transforming the way organisations access and nurture sales talent.
“No conversation is wasted,” said Fraser. “We encourage businesses to reach out and see how we can help them grow—with the right people, in the right roles, at the right time.”
As recruitment agencies look to evolve in a highly specialised market, the expansion of The Justified Talent Group—and the strength of leadership behind it—offers a compelling example of vision in action.
